The Strongest Relationship

In a jummah khutbah (friday sermon) my husband related to me, the Imam talked about what the strongest relationship in our lives should be.  He said that we often think that the bond of a mother and child is so strong and cannot be broken, and while that bond is strong, he said that the stronger bond should be that of the husband and wife.

Happy Birthday to Me!

  Today happens to be my birthday and while I have many things to celebrate, I do not celebrate birthdays.  Besides people wishing me Happy Birthday, which I do not mind, I do not do anything else.  And I hope to continue that tradition on with my own son.
